FA Cup - History

The Malaysian FA Cup is a national knock-out soccer competition organised by the Football Association of Malaysia. All teams from Super League and Premier League qualify to take part in this championship. And the four top finishers from the previous year's FAM Cup are also eligible to take part. It’s a knock-out competition and each round will be played on a home-and-away basis.
Since its inception in 1990, Selangor has had the distinction of lifting the Cup on four occasions. For the 2007/08 season, 30 teams will vie for the Cup. All teams from the Super League and the Premier League, in addition to the four teams from the FAM Cup.
